About This Session

Many owners that are doing exit planning are not familiar with how to structure a transaction with their real estate to maximize their overall sales proceeds and minimize taxes.

A 1031 exchange allows an owner to defer capital gains by reinvesting real estate sales proceeds into a like kind property.

Owners need to understand the various property types, corresponding yields and how those yields vary across different geographical markets in order to make an informed investment decision.
