Mitchell Steffens is a Vice President and senior leader in Palm Tree's Healthcare Investment Banking group. Mr. Steffens provides transaction execution support and advisory for sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, special situations, and capital raises under various debt and equity transaction structures. Mr. Steffens brings over a decade of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, and Management Consulting across a wide array of healthcare verticals, spanning Healthcare IT, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals & Pharmaceutical Services, and Provider Services. He has closed over $5 billion of total transaction value. Prior to joining Palm Tree, Mr. Steffens worked for Baird Global Investment Bank where he advised middle-market companies, private equity, and venture capital firms on a variety of M&A transactions within the firm’s healthcare industry vertical. While at Baird, Mr. Steffens led all phases of the deal cycle and closed over $2 billion in transaction value. In addition, Mr. Steffens worked for Kaufman Hall & Associates, providing strategic and financial advisory for various healthcare organizations, including multi-state health systems, academic medical centers, and standalone community providers. Before Kaufman Hall, Mr. Steffens worked at Capital One as an underwriter and portfolio manager for private equity-backed and public healthcare companies. He also served as a valuation expert at HealthCare Appraisers, Inc., managing over 100 business valuations across various sub-sectors for the provider services industry. He has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and Series 63, Series 79, Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) licenses. Mitchell is an avid golfer and thoroughly enjoys the annual golf trips he organizes for his friends.
