ABOUT MIKE
Mike Kouyoumdjian is a Certified Public Accountant. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with a minor in international marketing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. After graduating in 2003 he took a position with a small public accounting firm in Fullerton. There he was able to learn firsthand how to manage all aspects of business engagements, ensuring all the business owners’ needs were met. In 2005 Mike joined RP&B and in 2011 became a shareholder and director at the firm. He was able to display his ability to perform at a high level with a strong commitment to client service and quality, while having responsibility over business entity taxation, entity transactions, dealings with government agencies as well as general business consulting. In 2017, he was promoted to President and Managing Shareholder, expanding his responsibilities to lead the firm as it continues to grow and evolve. He continues to consult with the firm’s largest and most complex clients, assisting with tax planning and estate issues, mergers & acquisitions and other general business needs. He current a member of the ESOP Association Finance Committee as well as serving as an advisory board member to an international bank before they sold in 2021. He was part of a CEO peer group for many years, attends many client board meetings and regularly speaks at conferences and meetings on various topics including ESOPs, tax credits and other related subjects. He is a proud husband and father of two girls born in 2011 and 2013. He has a history of being active in his community, from coaching basketball to teaching karate. In his free time he enjoys off-roading and traveling, including having hiked Mt. Sinai, been to the top the Matterhorn and climbed inside the great Pyramid of Giza.
