ABOUT AKEEM

Akeem has worked in the wealth management field for most of his career. His purpose as an advisor is to help entrepreneurial-minded individuals develop and implement a financial roadmap to achieve their goals and dreams. He takes the time to understand each client’s unique priorities, providing the education, tools, and resources needed to make confident financial decisions. By simplifying the complexities of wealth management and business planning, he empowers his clients to focus on what matters most—enjoying life’s journey and living out their purpose. His work often centers on partnering with businesses and their owners, leveraging specialized expertise as a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®), and Nonqualified Plan Consultant (NQPC™).

Akeem holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business and German from Oklahoma State University, as well as an MBA from West Texas A&M University. With more than a decade and a half of experience in the financial services industry, he’s developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing individuals today – especially small business owners and professionals. Before forming Legacy Planning Partners, his experience allowed him to gain valuable insights in retirement plan design, investment management, risk management strategies, and advanced planning solutions.

Outside the office, he’s actively involved with family and community. When he’s not spending time with his wife and kids, he’s serving the community through his local church, as well as the Norfolk Sports Club, where he serves on the scholarship foundation, and through PiN Ministries, a homeless outreach organization in Virginia Beach. He also enjoy running, hiking, visiting museums, and cheering on his Oklahoma State Cowboys.
