ABOUT VITO

For over 25 years, Vito has consulted with successful business owners from myriad industries on topics such as: estate and tax planning, succession and exit planning, asset allocation, lending, banking, and philanthropy. As a fiduciary, he skillfully navigates clients through some of the most complicated family/business partnership matters by balancing the science of finance with the art of consensus building, diplomacy, and a great sense of humor. Vito is a passionate thought leader in corporate and not-for-profit governance, change management, and strategy.

Before joining Solyco Wealth as its Managing Partner, Vito earned a BA in Finance from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. He worked for First Chicago NBD/Bank One in their commercial lending program and held positions in business development and credit. He transitioned to Fifth Third Bank where he was a lender, team leader and a wealth management advisor. Most recently, he was the Michigan Market Manager for Key Private Bank.

He earned an MBA in Strategy from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Vito is also a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA).

Vito is proud of his deep connectivity to Detroit. He demonstrates this pride through his involvement in the community. Vito dedicated six years on the Board of Directors of the Detroit Athletic Club, the reigning #1 Athletic Club in the country. His term on the board culminated in becoming the Chairman of the Board and the Club’s 106th President. For his strategic leadership, he was awarded 2023 Club President of the Year by Boardroom Magazine.

He also sits on the advisory board of the Multicultural Business Program at Michigan State University and the Ernest S. Betts Endowment.

Residing in West Bloomfield, Vito, and his wife Heather share (in differing order and degree) a love of travel, bourbon, music, bowling, baseball and great food. They are humbled daily by their three precocious children.
