ABOUT AUSTIN

Austin’s approach is rooted in genuine connection and long-term partnership. He takes the time to understand not just the numbers, but the people behind them, their stories, their stressors, and what success actually means for their families. Whether he’s guiding a military household through a complex benefits landscape, supporting a nonprofit with mission-aligned planning, or helping a business owner navigate an eventual exit, Austin brings empathy, precision, and a steady hand to every relationship.

Prior to becoming a financial professional, Austin enlisted in the Navy. With honor and distinction, he served as an Assault troop Radio Operator at the Tier 1 Naval Special Warfare Development Group, where his exceptional talent for delivering tactical communication expertise was repeatedly put to the test. In this high-pressure role, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with one of the world’s most elite teams, he came to appreciate the irreplaceable value of absolute reliability, adaptability, and disciplined execution. These traits, which were honed through repetition, stress, and the relentless pursuit of excellence demanded at that level, became essential to supporting missions where failure is not an option.

Recognizing the importance of continuous learning and professional growth, Austin began his academic journey at Liberty University while in the Navy. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Financial Planning. Upon transitioning from the service, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the esteemed Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William and Mary, positioning himself to provide sophisticated financial guidance to his clients.

Originally from Kansas, Austin now lives in Virginia Beach with his wife, Meridith, a dedicated Family Practice physician, and their daughter. Family remains at the center of his life, grounding him in the values of patience, love, and service. He continues to support veterans navigating the transition he once faced, serving as vice chair for military recruiting and retention for Raymond James's Valor Inclusion Network. He also volunteers with The Honor Foundation, a program supporting military special operations personnel in their transition to civilian careers.

An avid reader and fitness enthusiast, Austin continually strives to grow both personally and professionally.
