ABOUT BILL

Bill is the chief financial partner for a select group of business owners and their families. He has advised business owners, endowments, professionals and retirees in wealth management by blending personalized financial strategies with a deep understanding of entrepreneurial challenges to preserve legacies, achieve financial freedom and lasting prosperity for generations.

Bill was born in Brownsville, TX and split time between San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley in his youth. After graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M in College Station in 1997, he started his career in the financial field the same year. Since then, he has completed the CERTIFIED PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR® program through Yale University, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ program with the College for Financial Planning and Certified Exit Planning Advisor program with the Exit Planning Institute.

He has worked as a financial advisor with three prominent investment firms: AG Edwards (1997 - 2008), Morgan Stanley (2008 – 2016) and Raymond James (2016 to present), all in McAllen. Raised by two financial advisors, John & Audrey Martin, it could be said that his career choice came naturally.

Bill is currently serving as the chairman for the Board of Trustees with the Museum of South Texas History. Additionally, he served 14 years on the IDEA Public School Board, as the organization grew from approximately 1,000 students in South Texas to almost 60,000 students, operating across Texas, Louisiana and Florida growing to an annual budget exceeding a billion dollars. He proudly served as president of McAllen North Rotary Club and is involved with the Valley Land Fund and Valley Symphony Orchestra, as both supporter and managing endowments.

Bill and his wife, Margie, have six adult children, three boys and three girls - a modern day Brady Bunch! Together they worship and serve their community through Foundations Methodist Church in McAllen.
