Kevin Ahaus, President of Ahaus Tool and Engineering, Inc. is the 4th generation in the family business. After working for several years outside the business, he came back in 1992 working in sales and manufacturing before becoming president in 2004. As a family business, we have pursued and implemented strategies for succession planning, business growth, positive culture, strategic planning, and personnel development. Kevin holds degrees in BS MET and MS Management(MBA) from Purdue University.
Outside activities include currently serving on the Purdue University College of Technology Richmond Advisory Board, Ivy Tech Community College Foundation board member, and on National Tooling and Machining Association(NTMA) Executive Team. Since 1994, Kevin has served on other NTMA teams including Next Generation(Emerging Leaders), Marketing, Education, and Workforce Development with several team leadership roles and as an Indiana Tooling and Machining Association board member. Other past involvement includes state trustee for Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, board member of Wayne County Chamber of Commerce for 12 years, board member of Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County for 9 years, Chair(2010), board member for Indiana Manufactures Association and board member for Purdue TAP program.
In 2023, Kevin was inducted into the Junior Achievement of Eastern Indiana, Business Hall of Fame. It is an honor to be recognized and we have a great history of business in Richmond, Indiana. It is the people that make our business and culture thrive and grow.
He was previously employed by Wells Electronics, South Bend, Indiana, Plaskolite, Inc., Columbus, Ohio, and as V.P./General Manager of Plaskolite West. At Plaskolite West he was in charge of site selection, setup, and management of a 45,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Phoenix, AZ.
His wife is Jennifer Ahaus and they have two children, Catherine Brown and Mitchell Ahaus.
