Sam Messina has been providing outstanding wealth management and financial planning advice to individual and business clients for 38 years. Prior to joining Paramax as Director of Business Development, Sam held various notable roles such as Managing Director at UBS Group Inc.; President of McDonald Investments, a KeyCorp company; as well as heading up Essex Capital Markets, an Upstate NY Registered Investment Advisory (RIA)/Broker-Dealer, which he sold to McDonald in 1998.
In 2007, Sam negotiated the sale of McDonald to UBS which proved to be the most successful acquisition and transition the industry had experienced to date. During his time as Managing Director at UBS, Sam was responsible for the NYS/Northern New England region, with over $200 million in revenue and $30 billion in client assets. Sam was one of the pioneers in UBS’s Business Transition Planning effort, enabling them to become an industry leader in helping business owners effectively plan, and optimally sell, their businesses.
Sam also has ownership interests in a number of private companies in the Upstate NY region, which provides him with valuable insight into the challenges, objectives, and opportunities faced by business owners.
