About Justin

Starting his entrepreneurial journey at 15 years old, Justin has spent more than 20 years working on his and others’ businesses. He has started and sold multiple companies for a profit, and purchased others – enduring many successes and failures along the way. As a CFP® certificant, CEPA®, and CVGA®, Justin now spends most of his time working with business owners.

“I understand what it’s like to make a payroll,” Justin explains. “I’ve experienced increasing competition, market volatility, legal changes, and a variety of other ‘business’ setbacks. My point is, I’ve lived as a business owner and will continue to do so for many more years. There is likely no business situation I haven’t experienced, either personally or through my clients.”

In 2016, he launched Financially Simple™ – an educational portal featuring a financial blog, podcast, and video resources – to simplify the complexity of finance for small business owners. In addition, he has recently published his second book, “Your Baby’s Ugly,” teaching readers how to assess the sellable value of their company with the goal of growing its long-term value. His relatable and effective educational style has thrust him into the national stage, garnering him multiple awards and accolades including inclusion on Investopedia’s list of Top 100 Financial Advisors four years in a row.

“My passion lies in helping small business owners reach their full potential. That’s why I teach the necessary skills to guide business owners through business sales, mergers, or buy-outs, ultimately, preparing them for the next chapter of their lives.”

As though he weren’t busy enough, in 2009, Justin founded the boutique financial planning firm, Heritage Investors, following years of working in a large wealth management firm. And now, Justin works with business owners at WealthSource Partners as their Chief Strategy Officer.
