Michael Grubich
President, LAK Group
Michael is President & Managing Partner at LAK Group. With more than 25 years of global leadership experience, Michael is a seasoned Human Resources executive. He provides strategic leadership regarding all talent solutions and initiatives which enhance the performance of organizations, individuals, teams, and leaders.
Throughout his career, Michael served in several global thought and operational leadership roles. As part of his responsibilities, he led a variety of Human Resources functions, including Talent Management, Leadership Development, Coaching, Culture Shaping, Organization Design & Development, Talent Acquisition, Succession Management, Learning & Development, Assessment Change Management, Strategic Planning, and Engagement Practices.
Prior to joining LAK Group, Michael was the Sr. Vice President, Talent & Organization Development for Aurora Health Care, and prior to that he served in multiple leadership roles for global organizations, including Global Human Resources VP for CNH Industrial Global Director, Talent & Diversity for Kohler Co. Additionally, he was the Director, Human Resources retail division and the corporate Director of Training & Development at Jockey International, Inc. in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Michael helps organizations think strategically in order to move from concepts to practical implementation in all areas from Selection to Succession. He provides consultation and coaching to senior leaders in moving their organization forward with an effective understanding of the business and the culture of the organization. An author, Michael has recently published his first book, Leadership On Purpose.
Experience with Family Businesses:
Michael’s personal experience working in and with family-owned organizations has influenced his first-hand knowledge of many of the challenges faced by family businesses and the families that operate them. The ability to empathize with his clients gives Mike a unique ability to engage with family members and deliver effective solutions.
Board of Director & Community Involvement:
Michael is currently serving as the incoming Chairman of the Board of Directors, for Special Olympics Wisconsin and was recently the Board Chair for Catholic Memorial High School in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Marquette University’s College of Business Administration and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Healthcare Administration Masters Degree Program.
Education & Training:
Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Northern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Lake Forest Graduate School of Business.
