Sessions Overview

The Exit Planning Summit features an assortment of session types to fully immerse advisors in exit planning content from industry experts, partners, and thought leaders.

As CEPAs, we should all be presenting exit planning consistently: exit planning is business strategy. But what does that first meeting with a business owner look like? How should the conversation flow? What are the right questions to ask? Regardless of discipline, the initial language should be universal. The same applies to presenting the “tools” an owner and their advisory team will need throughout the process. What differs is the role each advisor plays, the “tool” they represent or bring to the table, and the additional “tools” required from other advisors and solution providers. This session is designed to help advisors “script” that initial conversation in a way that educates, engages, and empowers the owner to take action now.

  • Understand how to structure the first exit planning conversation with a business owner by using clear, universal language and guiding questions.
  • Learn how to present and position the essential “tools” of exit planning while clarifying the distinct role each advisor plays in the process.
