Mike Lee spent 30 years as a high-tech industry veteran before acquiring First Choice Business Brokers franchises across the Mountain West. He became a CEPA after discovering that most brokers were playing a listing game rather than doing the preparation work that actually gives business owners a fighting chance. That gap is what Exit with Clarity was built to close. By the time an owner reaches any professional advisor, they should already have honest data, a clear picture of where their gaps are, and a realistic sense of what it takes to exit well. Exit with Clarity handles that foundation.
What We Do
We use technology and proprietary systems to help business owners see their company the way a buyer would. That is the core of everything we offer.
The Instant Value Estimator is a free tool that takes less than five minutes. Owners enter a few basic inputs and receive a value range based on AI-researched multiples drawn from publicly available market data. It is a starting point, not a full valuation. Its purpose is to give owners a grounded first look and introduce them to the broader exit readiness process.
The Clarity Exit Scorecard evaluates the business across 10 buyer-focused value drivers, scores each one, and produces a prioritized roadmap showing what is reducing value and what to address first. It is built for owners who are not yet ready to sell but want to run the business with exit in mind.
The Clarity Exit Assessment™ (CEA) is the full picture. A member of the Exit with Clarity team works directly with the business owner, reviews their actual financial documents, conducts comparable transaction research using closed sale data, and produces a written report identifying the factors a buyer would flag as deal risks or price reducers. The CEA is where depth and detail live, and it produces the kind of complete owner profile that makes a referral to an advisor genuinely valuable.
When a certified valuation is needed for legal purposes, divorce, SBA lending, or estate planning, we refer the owner to credentialed appraisal partners.
We do not act as business advisors. We do not do exit planning or financial planning. We do not list or sell businesses. We stay in our lane: use technology and proprietary systems to educate owners, assess their business from a buyer's perspective, and connect them to the right professional when they are ready for what comes next.
